Dr. Amvrosios G. Georgiadis
Hello
Dr. Amvrosios G. Georgiadis
Chemical Engineer
About Me

Amvrosios G. Georgiadis was born in Kozani, Greece.

He received his bachelor and master’s degree in Chemical Engineering in April 2010 from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 2024, he received his Ph.D. from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Western Macedonia. His Ph.D. project focused on biogas purification and utilization for hydrogen production.

His research activities mainly focused on hydrogen sulfide removal from biogas streams via dry adsorption processes and on biogas dry reforming, with active involvement in catalyst synthesis, structural characterization using advanced temperature programmed and spectroscopic techniques, and catalytic evaluation on laboratory-scale reactors. He was also engaged in reaction kinetic and mechanistic studies. Alongside his academic pursuits, Dr. Georgiadis has over 5 years of experience in developing quality systems and 2 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager in a food production plant. He specializes in developing Python-based models and has broad experience with various programming languages.

His latest research activities are centered on the catalytic upgrading of plastic waste pyrolysis oil wax-like products to a mix of lighter naphtha-like hydrocarbons, process design and life cycle assessment, and the synthesis of specialty polymers and particles for use in various everyday products such as insulation, paints and coatings, plastics, catalysts, and health applications.
